About Mediora
Mediora was started by people who spent years working alongside hospital and lab teams — and watched a generation of brilliant technicians lose their best hours to spreadsheets.

Our story
It started in a basement,
looking at a broken centrifuge.
In 2019, our co-founder Marek was on a service call at a research lab in Berlin. The centrifuge had been down for three days. The technician who'd serviced it last had moved on. The paperwork was in a binder. The replacement part had been ordered — but nobody could find the order number.
The lab was burning $4,000 a day in lost work.
None of this was anyone's fault. The technician was talented. The lab was well-run. The vendor was responsive. The problem was that everyone's knowledge lived in different places — emails, spreadsheets, paper folders, a CRM nobody opened — and the equipment didn't have anywhere to belong.
Mediora started as a single idea:
Every device deserves one place where its full story lives.
Serial number, contracts, every service visit, every part replaced, every photo, every signature. And from that single record — calm, complete, always up to date — you can build everything else: schedules, reports, customer relationships, capacity plans.
We launched our first version in 2021 with three customers, all in Germany, all in laboratory equipment. Today, Mediora is used by healthcare and lab teams across thirteen countries. We've stayed deliberately small as a company, deliberately deep as a product.
We dont want to be the biggest tool in the category. We want to be the one people quietly grateful for.
A small team, working
slowly on purpose.

Slow
Considered as a feature
We ship when it's right, never on a quarterly cadence. The roadmap is a guide, not a contract.
Four principles
we try to honour.
Not posters on a wall — these are how we make the small calls that add up. We re-read them before every product review.
i.
Clarity beats cleverness.
If a feature can only be explained by a six-minute video, it's not done. We'd rather ship one obvious thing than three impressive ones — every time.
ii.
Routine work should feel calm.
The 9am Monday morning where your tech opens Mediora to plan their week should feel quiet, not chaotic. Tools shape moods, and we take that seriously.
iii.
The work matters more than the dashboard.
People don't open Mediora to look at charts. They open it to fix things, log a visit, find a manual. We design for the doing, not the looking.
iv.
Slow is a feature.
We don't ship to a roadmap, we ship when it's right. Healthcare equipment runs for decades — our software should age with the same grace.

Where we've been,
where we're heading.
Seven years of small, deliberate decisions. Here are the ones that mattered.
The basement in Berlin
Marek's third service call that month with the same root cause. The first sketch of Mediora gets drawn on a napkin at a café on Friedrichstraße street.
First three customers
Three German labs agree to be design partners. We build the first version of the equipment record alongside their technicians, on whiteboards and in basement workshops.
Mediora 1.0 ships
Equipment database, service scheduling, mobile app — the foundations every Mediora plan still stands on. The first paying customer signs up the day before launch.
Series A
$8M led by Northstar Ventures, with participation from longtime customers. We hire our first dedicated implementations team and open the Berlin office on Mitte.
Cross-border release
Multi-language, multi-currency, multi-timezone. Mediora opens for teams across the EU, UK, and the Nordics. First customer in Stockholm signs in March.
Twelve thousand devices, and counting
Mediora now manages over twelve thousand pieces of healthcare and lab equipment across thirteen countries. We're hiring deliberately, and our smallest team is still our product team.
The people
behind Mediora.
A small team of designers, engineers, and former medical-equipment operators. We work mostly from Prague, partly from wherever the field calls us.
